Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. (Hebrews 10:24)

Remembering Jesus’ resurrection has sparkled another inspiration. Today, the Holy Spirit has led me to pause and share the significance of Christ’s life, death and resurrection.
The Apostle Paul wrote in Today’s scripture, Romans 8:1-4 (NLT)…So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. [2] And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. [3] The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. [4] He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.
Consider…
Jesus revealed the PROBLEM of sin
- Romans 3:23 (NLT)…For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
- We had/have a sin debt / Romans 6:23a (NLT)…For the wages of sin is death
Jesus assume and paid the PENALTY of sin
- Jesus paid for our sin according to 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NLT)…For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
Jesus broke the POWER of sin
- We’re declared obligation free in Romans 8:11-12 (NLT)…The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. [12] Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do.
Jesus blesses us with the PRESENCE of Him
- Galatians 2:20 (NLT) testifies…My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Christ died and rose for us to live for (and with) Him…
2 Corinthians 5:15 (NLT)…He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.
So let’s live in accordance with Galatians 5:24-25 (NLT)…Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. [25] Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.
On the cross Jesus said “it is finished”
With His resurrection God declared “so be it”
In our lives the Holy Spirit “makes it so”
Today’s song is…
So Be It
Blessings 4HG (1 Corinthians 10:31)
