Welcome to another day the Lord has made that we should rejoice and be glad in. (Psalms 118:24)

This morning, the Holy Spirit showed me God tends to blow minds.
Today’s scripture, Job 5:9 (NLT) recognizes….
[9] He does great things too marvelous to understand. He performs countless miracles.
Consider…
Have you ever sat in awe of God? I mean, just paused to consider and appreciate how great He is?
When is the last time you that you paused to thoroughly praise God for His greatness, like the Psalmist in Psalms 104:1-12 (NLT)…
[1] Let all that I am praise the Lord. O Lord my God, how great you are! You are robed with honor and majesty. [2] You are dressed in a robe of light. You stretch out the starry curtain of the heavens; [3] you lay out the rafters of your home in the rain clouds. You make the clouds your chariot; you ride upon the wings of the wind. [4] The winds are your messengers; flames of fire are your servants. [5] You placed the world on its foundation so it would never be moved. [6] You clothed the earth with floods of water, water that covered even the mountains. [7] At your command, the water fled; at the sound of your thunder, it hurried away. [8] Mountains rose and valleys sank to the levels you decreed. [9] Then you set a firm boundary for the seas, so they would never again cover the earth. [10] You make springs pour water into the ravines, so streams gush down from the mountains. [11] They provide water for all the animals, and the wild donkeys quench their thirst. [12] The birds nest beside the streams and sing among the branches of the trees.
The next time you see, feel or hear nature, take a moment to pause and appreciate God’s handiwork, and wholeheartedly praise Him!
This reminds me of the hymn lyrics…
Oh Lord, my God
When I, in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
In addition to appreciating His works around us, think about His detailed attention to us. Like the Psalmist in Psalms 139:13-18 (NLT)…
[13] You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. [14] Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. [15] You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. [16] You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. [17] How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! [18] I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!
In that same vane, I hear Jesus emphasizing our importance to God in Matthew 10:30 (NLT), where He said…
[30] And the very hairs on your head are all numbered.
Knowing the Creator of everything pays such detailed attention to the dustiest thing, should blow our minds. Pay close attention to Genesis 2:7 (NLT)…
[7] Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.
We’re living dust clothes that God made to polish creation for His glory! 🤯
The Holy Spirit emphasized our importance to God with Psalms 8:3-6 (ERV), which testifies…
[3] I look at the heavens you made with your hands. I see the moon and the stars you created. [4] And I wonder, “Why are people so important to you? Why do you even think about them? Why do you care so much about humans? Why do you even notice them?” [5] But you made them almost like gods and crowned them with glory and honor. [6] You put them in charge of everything you made. You put everything under their control.
Have you thought about the facts that God of the eternity…
- Thinks of us
- Cares for us
- Values us
- Trust us
…🤯
As amazingly mind blowing, and praise inspiring God’s works around and in us are, and that He thinks of us, it’s not close to experiencing God’s presence with us.
Like the prophet in Isaiah in Isaiah 6:1-5 (ERV) who testified…
[1] In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a very high and wonderful throne. His long robe filled the Temple. [2] Seraph angels stood around him. Each angel had six wings. They used two wings to cover their faces, two wings to cover their bodies, and two wings to fly. [3] The angels were calling to each other, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord All-Powerful. His Glory fills the whole earth.” [4] The sound was so loud that it caused the frame around the door to shake, and the Temple was filled with smoke. [5] I was frightened and said, “Oh, no! I will be destroyed. I am not pure enough to speak to God, and I live among people who are not pure enough to speak to him. But I have seen the King, the Lord All-Powerful.”
It’s interesting that when Isaiah was in God’s presence, he realized he wasn’t worthy to speak to Him, yet we casually and frivolously talk or about or to Him.
Being in God’s presence should always make us aware of our worthlessness without His worthiness. Like Isaiah, we should be humbled and appreciate God’s grace to allow perfection to be seen by imperfection.
This also makes me think of John in Revelation 1:12-17 (ERV), when he testified…
[12] I turned to see who was talking to me. When I turned, I saw seven golden lampstands. [13] I saw someone among the lampstands who looked like the Son of Man. He was dressed in a long robe, with a golden sash tied around his chest. [14] His head and hair were white like wool—wool that is white as snow. His eyes were like flames of fire. [15] His feet were like brass that glows hot in a furnace. His voice was like the noise of flooding water. [16] He held seven stars in his right hand. A sharp two-edged sword came out of his mouth. He looked like the sun shining at its brightest time. [17] When I saw him, I fell down at his feet like a dead man. He put his right hand on me and said, “Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last.
Being in the presence of God should always place us in a bowing posture because He’s not our equal.
As Psalms 89:6-8 (ERV) explains…
[6] No one in heaven is equal to the Lord. None of the “gods” can compare to the Lord. [7] When God’s holy ones—the angels around his throne—meet together, they fear and respect him; he is more awesome than all those around him. [8] Lord God All-Powerful, there is no one like you. You are strong, Lord, and always faithful.
Accordingly, we must always recognize and reverence God when we’re in His presence!
That said, don’t miss the fact that two men saw God face to face and lived. Recall in Exodus 33:20-23 (KJV) God told Moses…
[20] And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. [21] And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: [22] and it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: [23] and I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.
I think it’s easy to overlook, and take for granted the fact that God has continually revealed more of Himself to mankind. He’s transitioned from being an unknown God out there, to the Holy Spirit who dwells in here (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ). 🤯
The Holy Spirit reminded me that John and Isaiah weren’t the only ones to see God in His glory. Recall Mark 9:2-8 (NLT) testified…
[2] Six days later Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up a high mountain to be alone. As the men watched, Jesus’ appearance was transformed, [3] and his clothes became dazzling white, far whiter than any earthly bleach could ever make them. [4] Then Elijah and Moses appeared and began talking with Jesus. [5] Peter exclaimed, “Rabbi, it’s wonderful for us to be here! Let’s make three shelters as memorials—one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” [6] He said this because he didn’t really know what else to say, for they were all terrified. [7] Then a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my dearly loved Son. Listen to him.” [8] Suddenly, when they looked around, Moses and Elijah were gone, and they saw only Jesus with them.
And Genesis 32:28 (NLT) says…
[28] “Your name will no longer be Jacob,” the man told him. “From now on you will be called Israel, because you have fought with God and with men and have won.”
Also, Exodus 33:11 (NLT)
shared…
[11] Inside the Tent of Meeting, the LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Afterward Moses would return to the camp, but the young man who assisted him, Joshua son of Nun, would remain behind in the Tent of Meeting.
Indeed, God makes Himself known to those who wholeheartedly seek Him. As a matter of fact, Jeremiah 29:12-13 (NLT) affirms…
[12] In those days when you pray, I will listen. [13] If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.
The Holy Spirit is telling me, we should pause and appreciate, not take for granted, the fact that God blesses us with access and His presence.
Indeed, we should be always be…
- Aware God’s near
- Worship Him with reverent fear
- Exalt His name and make our adoration clear
Your Awareness, Worship, Exaltation of God (AWE) should be evident in everything you think, say and do. Why? Because the presence of the Lord is here.
Today’s song is…
The Presence Of Lord Is Here
Blessings 4HG (1 Corinthians 10:31)
